Storefront or curtain wall: what's the difference?
Storefront is a non-load-bearing aluminum framing system, typically installed floor by floor at grade and spanning between the floor and the structure above. Curtain wall is a lighter envelope system hung from the building structure, usually spanning multiple floors, designed to carry only its own weight plus wind load. Storefront dominates at entry level and in low-rise; curtain wall is what you use when the glazed envelope runs the height of the building.
Glass walls & partitions
Interior office fronts, conference room walls, demountable partitions and glass door systems. This is the work that gives an open plan its quiet rooms back.
- Full-height and partial-height glass walls
- Sliding and swing glass door systems
- Applied graphics, frit and etched privacy banding
- Back-painted panels and marker board walls
- Textured and patterned glass for partial privacy
- Mirror walls for fitness studios, gyms and dance rooms
Privacy or branding on the glass is fabricated in-house. See film graphics, printing & etching.
